OA Mobile Case Study

The Brief

AppleOne is a leading employment agency that connects job seekers with job recruiters. The company's Account Executives are often out in the field, meeting with clients and candidates. However, they faced challenges in staying in communication with their candidates and managing their job placements while on the go. To address this challenge, AppleOne launched a mobile app development project to create a platform that can enable recruiters to do job placements, search for potential leads and complete job orders.

The Challenge

The biggest challenge the project team faced was limited resources. They needed to launch the app quickly, but they had a limited budget and time frame. The team had to develop a strategy to create a mobile app that met the project brief while keeping within the budget and timeline.

Solution

The team decided to adopt a MVP approach, focusing on developing a basic version of the app with only the essential features needed to satisfy the project brief. The MVP included a messaging app that enabled recruiters to coordinate with their job candidates. This approach allowed the team to launch the app quickly and gather feedback from users, which would then inform future iterations of the app.

The team used Agile methodology to manage the project, which involved breaking down the development process into small, manageable parts. They prioritized the features to be developed based on their impact on the project brief and users' needs. The project team maintained close communication with AppleOne's Account Executives, ensuring that they were actively involved in the development process, giving feedback, and testing the app.

Results

The MVP approach proved to be successful. We were able to launch the app on time and on budget, with a basic set of features that met the project brief. The messaging app was well received by the users, and the team gathered valuable feedback, which was used to inform future iterations of the app.

The app allowed AppleOne's Account Executives to stay connected with their candidates while on the go, improving communication and increasing their productivity. The app also enabled recruiters to do job placements, search for potential leads, and complete job orders, all while being away from their desks.

Future

AppleOne plans to continue developing the app by adding more advanced features, such as AI-powered job matching and video interviewing capabilities. These additions could further enhance the user experience and improve the performance of AppleOne's Account Executives. The project team will continue to use Agile methodology to manage the development process, ensuring that they prioritize features based on their impact on the project brief and users' needs.
